Bono says the letter will be his only communication for the first half of 2015
Bono has said it is not clear if he will ever play guitar again following a bike accident late last year.
The U2 singer published a letter to fans on the U2.com website this evening.
He said he now has a titanium elbow and would miss playing guitar if he was unable to.
However, he also commented that the band has reminded him that neither they nor western civilisation are depending on this.
The wide-ranging, sometimes tongue-in-cheek, A-Z letter covers topics ranging from the iTunes release of the Songs of Innocence album, to an update on the Hewson family.
